Built for sensitive documents.
Some documents shouldn’t live in random inboxes and shared folders. Here’s how PaperPilot is designed to keep your family’s private information private.
What we can and can’t see
We’re designed so private files aren’t readable in the middle. Here’s a plain-English breakdown:
We can’t see
- The contents of your documents
- Images or text inside your files
- Personal details you save
- Who you share links with
We can see
- That you have an account
- File sizes and dates
- When links are created or turned off
- Basic usage for keeping the app running
How private links keep you in control
When you share a document with a private link, you stay in control of who can see it and for how long.
Share one thing, not everything
Private links let you share a single document without giving access to your whole folder. The person you share with only sees what you want them to see.
Set links to expire
Choose how long a link stays active—a day, a week, or longer. Once it expires, the link stops working automatically.
Turn links off anytime
Changed your mind? Turn off a link whenever you want. Once turned off, no one can access the document through that link again.
No account needed to view
The people you share with don’t need to create an account to open a private link. They just click and see the document—that’s it.
Your documents, not ours
We believe your family’s paperwork should stay yours.
Not used for training
Your documents are never used to train AI models or improve our systems.
No selling your data
We don’t sell your information to advertisers or third parties. Ever.
Delete means delete
When you delete a document, it’s gone. We don’t keep copies hanging around in backups forever.
You can leave anytime
Export your documents whenever you want. No lock-in, no hassle.
How it works (the simple version)
Your documents are protected from the moment you save them to the moment you share them.

Common questions
Is this safe for medical and school documents?
Yes. PaperPilot is built for sensitive documents. We’re designed so private files aren’t readable in the middle, and you control sharing links. Medical records, school forms, insurance cards—they’re all protected the same way.
What if I lose my phone?
You can still control links you created from another device. Your documents are protected by device security, and we’re working on expanding multi-device experiences over time.
Why is this better than Google Drive or iCloud?
Drive and iCloud are great for storage. PaperPilot is for the moment you need to find and share one document quickly, without accidentally sharing everything. We’re built around control—share exactly what you intend, then turn it off.
Will my spouse/partner actually use this?
They don’t need an account to open a private link you send them. And you can keep everything organized without changing how your family communicates.
Can you read my documents?
No. PaperPilot is designed so private files aren’t readable in the middle. We can see that you have files and when links are created, but we can’t see what’s inside your documents.
Private by design. Control by default.
